CNC sliding head machining is a precision manufacturing process used to produce high-accuracy turned components from bar stock. The material is supported close to the cutting tool, allowing complex parts with tight tolerances to be machined efficiently and consistently. It is particularly well suited to small, intricate components and high-volume production runs.
We manufacture precision turned components from a wide range of materials, including stainless steel 303 and 316, brass, aluminium, mild steel, acetal, nylon and other engineering plastics. Material selection depends on the application's strength, corrosion resistance, wear characteristics and environmental requirements.
Of course! The only thing we ask is that you provide a covering order for any CNC machining we do. Often, we can give a more competitive price as well.
We produce a variety of CNC machined and precision turned parts, including dowel pins, clevis pins, threaded inserts, spacers, bushes, custom fasteners and bespoke turned components. Components can be manufactured to customer drawings, samples or specifications.
We are very flexible with our lead times and will always strive to help when time is tight. Our standard lead time is 3-5 weeks, but we can often better this date, depending on the complexity and quantity of the CNC turned parts ordered.
